The Greatest Gift

gift Pictures, Images and Photos
"The best present is God's presence."

It doesn't need a box, wrapping paper, ribbon or tape. It is priceless and available to all. Its Salvation through Jesus the Christ. Romans 10:9-10 "If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved."

Why blog about Jesus?

"MAKE A BLOG AND USE IT TO SPREAD THE GOSPEL!" God shouted in my ear. And so I did.

But seriously the idea began last year. After being a frequent reader of several blogs, I wanted to create my own. I had no clue what to blog about, so I blogged about my life. "SL Life" was born and won the award for most boring blog ever. Then i wanted to blog about fashion. The only problem was what I considered fashion was the exact opposite of what was popular. My style is unique; no one is ever wearing what I'm wearing, and I figured that would be another flop. So I went on with my life, without a blog. A couple a months ago, the blog idea came back to me. I knew I wanted to blog about Jesus because my faith was (and still is) one of the main components of my life. However, I was busy with school and other things and it stayed an idea. Just recently I found the time to make it a reality and now I love it.Why "zeta"? I make up words and new uses for words. I use zeta as a replacement for awesome or amazing. "That movie was zeta." Also, I googled "Jesus is zeta" and found no results. It was the perfect name for my blog because it was unique like me.

Life is Precious

I found out through Facebook that Brittany Murphy had died. I fell in love with Clueless at a young age, then Just Married and Uptown Girls a little later. We all know that death is inevitable. We also know that we can have eternal life through Jesus Christ. "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord"(Romans 6:23). Brittany Murphy demonstrates that death has no age range and doesn't exclude those who are known by many. Thank God for another day of life. God has given you another chance to get right with Him, so take advantage of it. Just remember Hebrews 3:14 For if we are faithful to the end, trusting God just as firmly as when we first believed, we will share in all that belongs to Christ.

He is Lord

I found this on flickr after a search for "lord." Dictionary.com defines 'lord' as "a person who has authority, control, or power over others; a master, chief, or ruler." Our Lord wants to have control over us, we only have to submit to him. Jeremiah 29:11 states, For I know the plans I have for you," says the LORD. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. The Lord has a plan for all of us and it is our job to allow it to be fulfilled. Who has more control over you than yourself? Who influences your actions, your best friend? A boyfriend or girlfriend? An enemy? All we have to do is let "Jesus take the wheel" and acknowledge Him as Lord.

All I want for Christmas

What's on your Christmas list? A new Ipod? Laptop? World peace? How about salvation? The lyrics to Mariah's "All I want for Christmas" come to mind- "I don't want a lot for Christmas, there is just one thing I need..." One necessity that we all share is God. I know that there is no way that I could live without God, because I live for God. So for all of those who haven't acknowledged Jesus as your savior, put that 1st on your Christmas list.

God's Word

John 10:38
But if I do, though ye believe not me, believe the works: that ye may know, and believe, that the Father is in me, and I in him.

God created Jesus Christ as someone we could relate to; we all have suffered persecution at one point in time. The major difference is that He could exist among us and have the power of God. During Jesus' life on earth, He did what man considered impossible (as we all remember from sunday school). Now that Jesus isn't physically down the street, it is left to us Christians to do the Work of God.

Where's your bible?

O
f course it makes a great dust collector, however, God's Word is no use to you when it remains closed. Even though typical teens aren't avid readers (including me), I would encourage all to read God's word everyday. Find a good devotional book (one made for teens) that is full of scriptures and take five minutes out of your busy life to read.
